Gex

The capital of the Pays de Gex is a dynamic town with numerous shops, shopping centres, restaurants, cinemas, etc., just a few minutes walk from the campsite.
The Gex market takes place every Saturday morning, rue des Terreaux, from 8am to 12.30pm.
Here you'll find quality local produce : fruits, vegetables, cheeses, meats and charcuterie await you on the stalls of the shopkeepers.

MONTS-JURA HIKING TRAILS

Discover more than 100km of signposted trails in the Monts Jura.

  • The Grande Traversée du Jura (GTJ) in the footsteps of the GR509.
  • The Crêt de la Neige (highest peak in the Haut-Jura Massif, culminating at 1720m) and be rewarded with a panoramic view of the Mont Blanc massif.
  • The Colomby de Gex, the 4th highest summit in the Jura.
  • Le creux de l'Envers: 180° view of the Jura, 2h30 of hiking in the middle of nature.

MOUNTAIN BIKING & CYCLING

Mountain bike trails for all levels at the Col de la Faucille.
Downhill mountain biking.
Take advantage of the Lélex and Crozet cable cars and follow the 800m-high footpaths, from 900m to 1700m altitude.

Gex- Divonne, via the old railway line.

Cycle from the campsite to discover Divonne and its lake (2h round trip).

SLEDGING ON RAILS

At the Col de la Faucille, one of Europe's longest rail toboggan runs is a meeting place not to be missed by downhillers.
This dynamic run is over a kilometre long, with tight bends and slopes of up to 37% (average 12%).

GIANT ZIP LINE

The zip line links the summit of the Col de la Faucille (1323 m altitude) to the village of Mijoux (1000 m altitude).
It has 2 cables, so 2 people can descend at the same time, each on their own cable.

CLIMBING AT THE VESANCY QUARRY

The Carrière de Vesancy offers climbing routes from 4a to 7b.
The cliff is not very high (barely 10 metres), but has the advantage of being accessible without any steps.

ACCROBRANCHE JURAVENTURE

Juraventure is anature leisure park in the heart of the Haut-Jura Natural Park, at an altitude of 1323 metres.
